InfraCore® is nominated for the JEC INNOVATION AWARDS 2022
InfraCore Company has been nominated for the JEC awards 2022 in the category of Maritime Transportation and Shipbuilding. The nominated project is the InfraCore Helideck for an 85-meter patrol vessel which was made for Damen shipyards.

The JEC innovation awards is an annual event to identify, promote and reward the best cutting-edge and ingenious projects using composites worldwide. The InfraCore Helideck project was nominated due to the impressive impact resistance which has been achieved. The InfraCore Helideck proved able to resist multiple impact tests of 1500 kg, surpassing helicopter loads. The Helideck also proved fire-resistant, surpassing one hour of full-scale fire testing. Additionally, the composite Helideck is lightweight which makes it easy to install or move to a different location.

The InfraCore Helideck project is part of an increasing trend to use composite for various solutions in the maritime industry. Composite has been found to be an ideal material due to its design flexibility, robustness, and resistance to corrosion and fire. Together with the EU-funded project RAMSSES (Realization and Demonstration of Advanced Material Solutions for Sustainable and Efficient Ships), InfraCore is involved in several composite developments for the maritime industry, including a rudder flap for a container ship. By using Innovative and lightweight materials such as composite, RAMSSES has found that life cycle and maintenance costs can be reduced significantly in the Maritime industry.
The JEC awards 2022 will take place on the 26th of April leading up to the JEC World composite trade show, which will take place from May 3rd to May 5th. InfraCore will also be exhibiting at the JEC World with a line-up of the latest projects.
